Scientists probe Heart's limits during exercise in rare condition
NCT ID NCT06823271
Summary
This small pilot study aimed to understand how different types of moderate exercise affect the heart in people with arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy (ACM), a genetic condition that can cause dangerous irregular heartbeats. Researchers measured heart pressures and electrical activity in 20 adult patients with ACM while they performed endurance and resistance exercises. The goal was to gather data to help create safer exercise guidelines for this patient population.
