Could a workout after therapy help heal trauma memories?
NCT ID NCT06127342
Summary
This study is testing whether moderate exercise after recalling traumatic memories helps people with PTSD process those memories more effectively. 100 adults with PTSD related to interpersonal violence will recall trauma cues during brain scans, then do either moderate or light exercise. They'll return 24 hours later for another session to see if the exercise changed how their brain and body respond to the memories.
