First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tested a 6-week supervised exercise program for women who have had breast cancer. The program included strength, cardio, and balance exercises. Researchers wanted to see if it could improve quality of life and help survivors stay physically active. 62 women who had finished treatment took part, with half doing the exercise program and half receiving only health education.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
supervised concurrent training program (resistance, cardiovascular, and neuromotor exercises)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could help breast cancer survivors feel better, have more energy, and stay active long-term.
What could go wrong
This is a small pilot study with only 62 participants, so results may not apply to all survivors. The program is short (6 weeks), so lasting benefits are uncertain.
