Does cardio before weights build more muscle in aging adults?
NCT ID NCT03984994
Summary
This study tested whether doing aerobic exercise (like walking or cycling) before strength training helps older adults with age-related muscle loss (sarcopenia) build more muscle and strength. Fourteen participants were split into two groups: one did aerobic exercise first, then strength training; the other did the reverse. Researchers measured changes in muscle size, strength, and blood vessel density to see which order worked better.
