First seen Jan 15, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a home exercise program combined with nutritional supplements can improve physical function in people aged 70 and older with transthyretin cardiac amyloidosis, a heart condition that causes weakness and frailty. About 102 participants will be split into three groups: usual care, exercise with fiber supplements, or exercise with creatine and HMB supplements. The main goals are to see if walking distance and handgrip strength improve after 12 weeks.
