Summary
This study aimed to find the best combination of exercise intensity and the common diabetes drug metformin to improve blood vessel function and insulin sensitivity in adults with metabolic syndrome. Researchers tested whether high or low-intensity exercise worked better with metformin to improve markers of heart health and diabetes risk. The goal was to provide clear guidance on using exercise and medication together to prevent future heart disease and type 2 diabetes.
