Scientists track exercise hormone spike in young adults
NCT ID NCT07191015
Summary
This study aimed to find out when a hormone called irisin peaks in the blood after different types of exercise. Twelve healthy young adults completed three different workout sessions (high-intensity intervals, moderate running, and low-intensity running) in a random order. Researchers measured irisin and lactate levels before and after exercise to understand how workout intensity influences the timing of this hormone's release.
