Scientists test if sprint intervals boost brain power after one workout

NCT ID NCT07379879

Summary

This study aimed to understand how a single session of different running intensities affects a blood marker linked to brain health (BDNF), lactate levels, and performance on a short attention task. Twelve healthy young men completed four separate sessions: low-intensity running, moderate running, high-intensity interval sprints, and seated rest. Researchers measured blood markers and a thinking test before and after each session to compare the effects.
