Short bursts vs. steady jogging: which boosts your brain more?
NCT ID NCT07146490
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026
Summary
This study looked at how different exercise intensities affect brain chemicals like irisin and lactate, as well as thinking skills, in 12 healthy young adults. Participants did three types of running workouts: short high-intensity intervals, longer high-intensity intervals, and steady low-intensity jogging. Researchers measured blood markers and cognitive performance before and after each session to see which exercise type had the biggest impact.
