First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 04, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looked at how different exercise intensities affect brain function and certain chemicals in the blood. Twelve healthy young adults did three types of exercise: short bursts of high-intensity running, longer high-intensity intervals, and steady low-intensity jogging. Researchers measured blood levels of lactate and irisin, and tested thinking skills like attention and flexibility. The goal was to understand how exercise intensity influences brain health.
