NCT ID NCT07191015
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study looked at how different exercise intensities affect irisin, a hormone linked to metabolism and brain health. Twelve healthy adults aged 18-25 did three types of exercise: high-intensity intervals, moderate continuous running, and low-intensity jogging. Researchers measured irisin and lactate levels before and after each session to find when irisin peaks. The goal was to understand the body's response to exercise, not to treat any disease.
