Can a fit pregnancy keep families healthier a decade later?

NCT ID NCT07435857

Summary

This study followed up with 221 mothers and their children 8-10 years after the mothers participated in an exercise program during pregnancy. Researchers wanted to see if that prenatal exercise had any lasting effects on the metabolic health of both the mothers and their now school-aged children. They measured things like body composition, blood sugar, insulin levels, and cholesterol to look for long-term benefits.
