Walking for your lungs: new study tests exercise to stop Smokers' breathing decline
NCT ID NCT07387432
Summary
This study is testing whether regular exercise, with or without telehealth support, can help smokers and former smokers who have early signs of reduced lung function. Researchers want to see if exercise can improve how far participants can walk and potentially slow the progression toward more serious lung disease. The study will compare three groups: one doing guided exercise with telehealth, one doing a walking program, and one receiving only standard advice.
