Sweat away the stress: exercise may tame OCD symptoms
NCT ID NCT07103902
First seen Nov 10, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a single session of moderate exercise (like a brisk walk) can help adults with OCD feel less distressed and think more flexibly compared to very light exercise. Fifty adults with OCD will do either moderate or low-intensity exercise and then complete surveys and thinking tasks. The goal is to see if exercise can be a simple, drug-free way to manage OCD symptoms in the moment.
