Summary
This study tested two types of leg-strengthening exercises in 24 women with knee osteoarthritis. One group did eccentric exercises (lengthening the muscle) and the other did concentric exercises (shortening the muscle). The goal was to see which better improves knee strength, movement, and daily function over six weeks. Results may help doctors recommend the best exercise for knee arthritis.
