Scientists test which workout best tames dangerous blood pressure swings
NCT ID NCT04763629
Summary
This study tested two different 12-week exercise programs for men over 45 with high blood pressure and coronary artery disease. Researchers wanted to see which type of workout—interval training or continuous training—was better at smoothing out dangerous short-term blood pressure fluctuations and improving heart function. The study involved 40 participants who were randomly assigned to one of the exercise groups and monitored for changes.
