Can a workout boost your cancer treatment? new study investigates

NCT ID NCT07375420

Summary

This study is testing whether a supervised exercise program before surgery can help the body's immune system fight esophageal cancer. Researchers will compare a high-intensity and a low-intensity exercise program in 50 adults scheduled for chemotherapy and surgery. The goal is to see if exercise can increase the number of cancer-fighting immune cells inside the tumor, which might make other treatments more effective.
