Can exercise during dialysis boost strength and stamina?
NCT ID NCT06838299
Summary
This study tested whether adding specific exercise programs to regular dialysis treatments could improve strength and quality of life for older adults with kidney failure. Ninety participants over 60 were divided into groups doing either aerobic cycling or strength training, both combined with breathing exercises, or receiving standard care only. The goal was to see which approach best helped patients walk farther, breathe easier, and feel better over three months.
