Can a new type of weight training lift mood and mobility for older women?
NCT ID NCT06758206
Summary
This study tested whether a newer type of strength training (using a flywheel machine) is better than traditional weight training at reducing feelings of depression and improving physical and mental function in older women who are mostly inactive. Over 10 months, 64 women trained twice a week in supervised sessions. Researchers measured changes in mood, strength, balance, memory, and quality of life to see which approach was more helpful.
