Can running or swimming beat back pain? new study investigates
NCT ID NCT06921694
Summary
This study is testing whether specific 8-week exercise programs—one based on running, another on swimming or cycling—can reduce pain and improve function in adults with long-term lower back pain better than continuing their usual activities. Researchers will compare these two programs against a control group that just does their normal exercise. They will measure participants' pain and ability to do daily tasks at the start, after 8 weeks, and again one year later.
