Can pumping iron help teens beat Cancer's Long-Term side effects?
NCT ID NCT06299722
Summary
This study tested whether a specific strength training program could help teens who survived childhood leukemia or lymphoma. 46 participants, aged 10-19 and finished with chemotherapy, were randomly assigned to either 16 weeks of strength training or circuit training at local centers. Researchers measured muscle strength, fitness, bone health, and quality of life to see which type of exercise was better at reducing long-term side effects of cancer treatment.
