Exercise program tested to fight 'Chemo Brain' in breast cancer survivors

NCT ID NCT02934880

Summary

This study tested whether a special exercise program could help improve memory and thinking problems that sometimes occur after breast cancer chemotherapy. Researchers worked with 37 women who had completed treatment for locally advanced breast cancer and were experiencing cognitive issues. Participants were divided into two groups—one started the exercise program right away, while the other waited three months—to compare the effects on brain function and quality of life.
