Brain boost? study tests exercise for stroke and head injury recovery

NCT ID NCT07429526

Summary

This small pilot study explored whether regular aerobic exercise could help improve memory, attention, and reduce fatigue in people recovering from a stroke or traumatic brain injury (TBI). Twelve participants were split into two groups: one did 30 minutes of aerobic exercise 3-4 times a week for 8 weeks, while the other continued their usual therapy. Researchers used brain scans and thinking tests to see if the exercise program made a difference.
