Can pumping iron help patients power through cancer treatment?

NCT ID NCT07453173

Summary

This study is testing whether a supervised strength training exercise program is practical and safe for people with rectal cancer while they receive chemotherapy and radiation before surgery. Fifteen participants will do personalized strength training twice a week for about 24 weeks, alongside their usual cancer care. The main goal is to see if patients can stick with the program and if it's safe, while also exploring if it helps maintain muscle, reduce fatigue, and improve quality of life.
