Exercise may boost chemo results in breast cancer – major trial underway

Summary
This study is testing whether a supervised exercise program (high-intensity interval and resistance training) during chemotherapy can help eliminate breast cancer more effectively. 712 patients will be randomly assigned to either the exercise program or usual care. The main goal is to see if exercise increases the chance of having no cancer left at surgery. The trial also looks at quality of life, fitness, and treatment side effects.
