New hope for patients struggling to breathe after major lung surgery

NCT ID NCT03409588

Summary

This study tested a drug called riociguat in 10 patients who still had trouble exercising and felt short of breath at least six months after surgery to remove old blood clots from their lungs. The goal was to see if the drug could improve their exercise capacity and breathing symptoms. Researchers measured changes in lung pressure, heart function, and walking distance over three months.
