Move more, not just exercise: study tests heart benefits for overweight women
NCT ID NCT06270810
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looked at whether increasing everyday physical activities (like walking or housework) along with aerobic exercise improves heart health more than exercise alone in overweight young women. Twenty-eight women were split into two groups: one did only moderate aerobic exercise, the other added more daily movement. Researchers measured cholesterol, blood pressure, and other heart-related markers to compare the effects.
