NCT ID NCT06987903
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 09, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a program of physical exercise and breathing exercises before and after weight-loss surgery can help patients recover faster, have fewer complications, and leave the hospital sooner. About 132 adults on the waiting list for bariatric surgery will be split into two groups: one doing the exercise program plus standard care, and the other following standard care alone. Researchers will also explore how exercise affects genes and liver health.
