First seen Mar 09, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a 12-week high-velocity resistance training program can improve thinking skills and brain blood flow in adults aged 60 to 79 who are at higher risk for Alzheimer's disease. Participants will be randomly assigned to either the exercise program or their usual routine. Researchers will measure changes in executive function, processing speed, and how the brain controls blood flow during mental and physical tasks.
