Scientists harness donor exercise to supercharge Anti-Cancer cells

NCT ID NCT07254793

Summary

This early-stage study is testing a new approach to prevent or treat leukemia relapse after a bone marrow transplant. Researchers collect immune cells from a related donor after the donor completes exercise sessions, hoping these 'exercise-mobilized' cells are better at finding and killing leftover cancer cells. The study will enroll up to 94 patients aged 0-65 to see if this method is safe and more effective than standard donor cell infusions.
