First seen Feb 13, 2026 · Last updated May 29, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study looked at whether a personalized, home-based exercise program could improve muscle function in people with moderate-to-severe chronic kidney disease (CKD) who are not on dialysis. 32 participants were randomly assigned to either an exercise group (combining strength and aerobic training) or a health education group. The goal was to measure changes in muscle energy use and physical performance. The findings aim to uncover how exercise might help fight muscle loss in CKD.
