Supervised workouts may boost recovery after stomach or esophageal cancer surgery

NCT ID NCT07561840

First seen May 05, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether supervised exercise can help people recover better after surgery for esophageal or gastric cancer. About 171 adults who had curative surgery will be placed into one of three groups: high-intensity interval training, low-intensity continuous training, or usual care. They will exercise three times a week for eight weeks, and researchers will measure fitness, strength, and quality of life to find the best exercise plan.
