This study looked at two types of exercise programs for people who had mitral valve replacement surgery. Fifty-six adults aged 40 to 60 years, who were 4 to 8 weeks past surgery, took part. One group did moderate-intensity interval training (short bursts of activity with rest) and the other did steady moderate exercise. The goal was to see which program better improves walking ability, lung function, heart efficiency, and quality of life over 12 weeks.
