New drug combo tested for tough childhood cancers

NCT ID NCT01946529

Summary

This study is testing a new combination of drugs for young patients (up to age 25) with high-risk Ewing sarcoma and desmoplastic small round cell tumors. Patients are divided into two groups: those with lower-risk tumors receive standard treatment, while those with higher-risk tumors receive an experimental drug combination. The goal is to see if the new treatment helps control these difficult cancers better than current options.
