NCT ID NCT07301372
First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study looked at whether giving evolocumab (a powerful cholesterol-lowering injection) within 24 hours after clot-busting drugs can prevent early neurological worsening in people with acute stroke caused by large artery blockage. 132 adults were enrolled and randomly assigned to receive either evolocumab plus standard care or standard care alone. The main goal was to see if the drug reduced the risk of neurological decline in the first week after stroke.
