Summary

This study tested whether the drug evolocumab can lower the risk of major heart problems in people who had a heart attack and have several blocked arteries. Over 1,800 participants were followed to see if the drug reduced deaths, further heart attacks, or hospital stays for heart failure. The study used existing medical records to mimic a clinical trial.
