First seen Jun 10, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tested a daily pill called everolimus in 11 people with classic or endemic Kaposi's sarcoma (a type of skin cancer linked to a virus). The goal was to see if the drug could shrink tumors after 6 months. The trial was stopped early, so results are limited. Participants had at least 10 skin lesions or widespread disease, but no serious organ involvement.
