First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study tests a new balloon catheter coated with everolimus to open blocked arteries in the leg. About 410 people with peripheral artery disease will be randomly assigned to get either the new balloon or a standard paclitaxel-coated balloon. The goal is to see if the new balloon is as safe and effective at keeping arteries open after one year.
