NCT ID NCT03447366

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tested whether a non-invasive heart ultrasound (echocardiography) can predict if a patient on a breathing machine will have worse breathing after receiving extra fluids. The study included 87 ICU adults who needed fluids for low blood pressure. The goal was to see if the test could help doctors avoid causing lung problems.
