First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated Apr 27, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study tested whether having a woman lie on one side (asymmetrical lateral decubitus) during labor can help turn a baby that is facing the wrong way (occipitoposterior position) into the correct position. The trial involved 326 women in labor. The goal was to see if this simple position change could reduce the need for interventions and make delivery easier.
