New brain surgery for stroke could save lives and reduce disability

Summary
This study compares a new, minimally invasive surgery to remove blood clots from the brain within 8 hours of a bleeding stroke versus standard medical care. About 240 adults with a large brain bleed will be randomly assigned to either the surgery or usual treatment. The goal is to see if the surgery helps more people recover with less disability after 6 months.
