Doctors test if adding ultrasound during procedure leads to better treatment decisions
NCT ID NCT06978231
Summary
This study compares two ways doctors examine and treat problems in the pancreas and bile ducts. One group gets a standard procedure (ERCP), while the other gets an ultrasound (EUS) done during the same session before the standard procedure. Researchers want to see if the ultrasound helps doctors make better decisions during treatment, reduces unnecessary procedures, and improves safety for patients.
