First seen Apr 17, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study tests a new procedure using an ultrasound scope to disconnect stomach varices (enlarged veins) and prevent them from bleeding again. It compares this method to the standard glue injection. About 84 people with high-risk stomach varices will be randomly assigned to one of the two treatments and followed for one year to see which works better and is safer.
