First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests a new procedure called EUS-SVD that uses an ultrasound to precisely disconnect blood vessels in the stomach, compared to the standard glue injection method. The goal is to see which approach better prevents re-bleeding from gastric varices in 84 adults over one year. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of the two treatments and followed for 12 months.
