Summary
This study tested two ways to help people with advanced cancer who cannot eat due to a stomach blockage. One method uses a special ultrasound to create a new passage between the stomach and small intestine, while the other places a mesh tube (stent) to keep the blockage open. The goal was to see which approach better prevents symptoms like nausea and vomiting from returning. The study involved 112 adults with incurable cancer causing severe blockage.
