First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study looked at whether combining a PET scan with a guided needle biopsy using an endoscope (echoendoscopy) can accurately diagnose cancer in lymph nodes in the chest. 75 patients with suspicious lymph nodes on PET scans were enrolled. The goal was to see if this less invasive approach could replace more risky surgical biopsies and help guide treatment decisions.
