App alerts parents when kids get too much sun

Summary
This study tested a smartphone app that gives parents and children real-time feedback on how much UV radiation the child is getting. The goal was to encourage better sun protection habits, like using sunscreen or wearing protective clothing, to lower the risk of skin cancer. 78 families with children aged 8-17 took part in the pilot project.
