Could a new pill tame cancer Drug's harsh gut side effects?

NCT ID NCT06521762

Summary

This study aimed to see if adding the drug etrasimod to standard steroid treatment could better control severe diarrhea and colon inflammation (colitis) caused by powerful cancer immunotherapies. It planned to enroll adults with advanced cancer who developed this serious side effect. The goal was to reduce the amount and duration of steroids needed, potentially allowing patients to restart their cancer treatment sooner.
