Summary

This study tests an oral medication called etrasimod in adolescents aged 12 to 17 with moderate-to-severe ulcerative colitis, a chronic gut condition. The goal is to see if the drug can safely reduce inflammation and bring the disease under control over 52 weeks. Participants who benefit may continue treatment for up to 5 years. This is not a cure, but aims to manage the disease long-term.
