Summary
This study tested an experimental vaccine (CssBA+dmLT) to prevent moderate-to-severe diarrhea caused by ETEC bacteria, a common cause of travelers' diarrhea. 72 healthy adults received either the vaccine or a placebo, then were intentionally exposed to the bacteria in a controlled setting. The goal was to see if the vaccine could reduce severe diarrhea and check for side effects.
