Blood disorder evolution: researchers track hidden transformation

Summary
This study examines why some patients with essential thrombocythemia (ET) later develop polycythemia vera (PV), a related blood condition. Researchers will review medical records of 678 adults to identify risk factors for this change and compare outcomes between those who progressed and those diagnosed with PV from the start. The goal is to better understand the disease course and improve future care.
